Beginner 1 and Beginner 2

This class is for beginning gymnasts who have little or no gymnastics experience. It is also the next step for those Tonka Tumblers who are 5 years old. In this class we work on basic skills on all four gymnastics events. We work on building strength and basic tumbling shapes and progressions. We teach safety skills for each event and learn drills, flexibility and balance skill that help prepare gymnasts for the upper levels.
Skills for Beginner 1: Handstand against wall, bridge, lunge, leap, tuck jump, and several other age appropriate skills.
Skills for Beginner 2: Handstand, cartwheel, backward roll, pike jump, gallop into cartwheel, headstand and several other age appropriate skills.
